Business Development Analyst

Overview

 

This role will directly support the Business Development Team on helping the company achieve its inorganic growth goals.  The qualified candidate will be responsible to support the deal team in managing due diligence and financial analysis on a variety of investment opportunities.  MB2 is a private equity-backed dental partnership organization.  MB2 is a high-growth platform that is executing a classic roll-up strategy.  The group has historically added ~100+ dental practices per year through acquisition.  The successful Business Development Analyst will add value through conducting thorough financial analysis and deal execution support to the Business Development Team.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial evaluations of dental practices for both buyout opportunities and joint venture partnerships
  • Interview selling dentists on their long-term goals, business needs, and objectives in the sale of their practice
  • Interview selling dentists on their practice’s financial performance and business metrics
  • Conduct both initial and confirmatory due diligence
  • Conduct thorough financial statement analysis and data mining of key performance indicators from small business’s enterprise systems
  • Complete valuation models and prepare board-level presentation materials for investment decisions
  • Complete macro-economic, general industry, and competitive insights research as needed
  • Draft internal investment memorandums
  • Support the legal transaction process as needed
  • Support the Business Development Team with any ancillary support needed to close transactions

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in business related field of study
  • Ability to live in Dallas / Fort Worth, TX
  • 1 – 2 years of investment banking, commercial banking, corporate development, or private equity experience
  • Healthcare transaction experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to support a transaction from sourcing to close
  • Experience working in fast-paced transaction environment
  • Knowledge of general accepted accounting and finance principles
  • Experience building financial models
  • Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are imperative
  • Ability to interact on a team, work in a collaborative environment, and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
  • High-level of interpersonal skills and well-spoken professional with good communication skills
  • Ability to travel 0-10%
  • Self-starter
